Every year 160,000 Canadians suffer a traumatic brain injury.

David Grant from Salem, New Hampshire suffered a broken elbow, lacerations and was bruised from head to toe after being hit by a car in 2010 while he was cycling.

Over time Grant realized he had also suffered a traumatic brain injury.

He says he had a lot of symptoms that didn't feel quite right and they included stuttering, vertigo and the inability to find words.

Grant also suffers from PTSD and he says it all turned around when he began to attend a traumatic brain  injury support group.
