If you have any lotto tickets you haven't checked, now is the time do so with $6,239,016.80 in unclaimed prizes.
That's according to Atlantic Lottery Corporation spokesperson Carla Bourque, who says $2,577,018 of that is from regional games, like Atlantic 49, Keno Atlantic, Bucko, Lotto 4, Poker Lotto, Salsa Bingo, and Tag, and Twist.
The other $3,661,998.80 comes from national games like Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, and Daily Grand.
Currently in New Brunswick, the single largest unclaimed prize is $25,649.
The ticket was sold May 31st, of last year in Shediac, and must be claimed before 12 months are up.
Any unclaimed winnings go into a special prize fund and are used for future draws.
Bourque stressed the unclaimed prize total changes daily, or sometimes hourly as people win, and claim prizes.
As well, she said when a large win happens, they occasionally see a slight, temporary increase in sales where the win occurred.
