New Brunswick is in for a serious spring soaking.
Southern New Brunswick is under a rainfall warning from Environment Canada and the north is under a freezing rain alert.
Up to 40 millimetres of rain is possible for the southern regions which when combined with already melting snow could mean the possibility of localized flooding in low-lying areas.
The Emergency Measures Organization is urging New Brunswickers living near water to stay vigilant and informed.
EMO is keeping a close eye on the province's watercourses especially along the Saint John River Basin, however, the situation is described as stable for the time being with all water levels under flooding level for the next few days.
