Help support Operation Christmas Joy and buy tickets for a draw on your favorite seafood. 1st prize is 20 lbs of fresh lobster, 2nd prize is 10 lbs of fresh salmon portions, and 3rd prize is 5 lbs of spiced salmon skewers. The Heritage Chapter IODE is holding a bottle drive to raise money in order to purchase books for children. All you have to do is drop your bottles off at the Charlotte County Can and Bottle Recycling Depot in the Industrial Park in St. Stephen. And tell them it's for the Books for Kids Project. Help kids keep the love of books alive.
The Out of the Darkness Memorial Walk will take place on Saturday, November 18th. Join the 3rd annual Memorial Walk to celebrate the lives of loved ones lost to suicide, and decrease the stigma surrounding depression. Meet at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 28 Main Street in St. George, rain or shine. After the walk, all are welcome in the Sanctuary for the candlelight ceremony. The 1st Annual Black Friday Gift Gala at the Garcelon Civic Center in support of the Fundy Region Transition House, will take place Friday, November 24th. The 23rd Annual Christmas Telethon at the Pennfield Lions Club will be held Sunday, December 3rd, from 3-7pm. The Telethon will air live on Channel 10 on Rogers TV.
